DHTML

Dynamic HTML is a term for a combination of HTML, XHTML, CSS, and a client side scripting language such as JavaScript, or VB Script. DHTML allows developers to create complex web sites with content which can be easily edited, or otherwise react to user actions without requiring interaction with a web server, or browser plug-in.
